In January 2008 The Basement took over the event management role for Jubilee Square, Brighton’s new central out door space situated in front of Jubilee Library, only 100 metres away from the Basement enabling The Basement to showcase outdoor work alongside work performed at the Basement.

Our aim is to bring cultural and community activity to the heart of the city involving all local communities in activities held in the Square.

Activities will include Live Art showcases, street theatre, exhibitions, community events, outdoor screenings, music events, markets and commercial hires.

THE BASEMENT AND JUBILEE SQUARE PRESENT A TEA DANCES  WITH RAGROOF THEATRE 30th August 2008, 1pm – 5pm at Jubilee Square, Jubilee Street, Brighton. Ragroof Theatre presents a glamorous outdoor tea dance for all ages, absolute beginners and experienced dancers all welcome. Tunes spun by Desert Ivan Discs.
