In January 2008 BAPSE took over the event management role for Jubilee Square, Brighton’s new central out door space situated in front of Jubilee Library, only 100 metres away from the Basement enabling BAPSE to showcase outdoor work alongside work performed at the Basement.

Our aim is to bring cultural and community activity to the heart of the city involving all local communities in activities held in the Square.

Activities will include Live Art showcases, street theatre, exhibitions, community events, outdoor screenings, music events, markets and commercial hires.

June and July in Jubilee Square hold many exciting events such as Urban Playground, which you can read about in the news section, Expo Brighton 2008 are bringing in a piece on Sunday 6th July, Ribena will be holding a market full of pie eating and sampling on the 4th & 5th July and Rising Styles Hip Hop Festival are once again bringing in Frieze Box, an enormous wooden box will be painted by some of Brighton's and the UK's most exciting graffiti, stencil and street artists, see the news section for more details.
